Safeguarding Adults at Risk

Inform dental practices about how to comply with CQC requirements for safeguarding vulnerable adults in preparation for a CQC practice inspection.

• What is safeguarding?;
• What is meant by an 'adult at risk (vulnerable adult)'?;
• Identifying adults who may be at risk;
• Understanding different forms of abuse;
• Who might be an abuser?
• Experiences of a CQC inspection
• How to produce the appropriate policy and procedures documentation for your practice

On completion dental team members will:

• have been trained in Level 2 requirements in safeguarding adults at risk;
• be able to produce the appropriate policies and procedures for their practice to satisfy CQC requirements;
• gain a further hour of verifiable CPD certified by the practice on completion of the policies and procedures for the practice (support material is available to the Practice Safeguarding Lead on request).
